Will it ever end????????????

I’m trying to keep you all updated on my progress. The boy’s beds arrived Tuesday afternoon, assembly required. There is just not enough time after I get home and before their bedtime to build them. It will have to wait until this Friday. Of course, my husband injured his shoulder yesterday, so I will need to call in a favor or two from an adoptive husband for a day to do the heavy lifting. I’m pretty self sufficient when it comes to building (I can and do read the directions) so I can handle the rest.

We had a couple of nice days and I was able to air out the house a little, got the itch to work in the yard but held off because of the frost at night. The “inside” projects were stalled out due to my lack of get up and go. I am so over the inside of my house right now.

I guess the crazy witch Mother Nature has a different plan for me. She apparently wants me to complete the inside projects. 😦

It is once again cold and damp in my world and there is snow (insert ugly face here) in the forecast again. This will be a working weekend……again. Will winter ever end?????

To-do’s

1. Build 2 loft beds
2. Clean Sanitize the boy’s bathroom
3. Clean, organize and dust the living room.
4. Shampoo carpets – Apparently thunderstorms are causing a great deal of stress to Mr. Poopsalot. He may need to start doggie xanex or something. This is ridiculous!
5. Pray for sunshine!

Oh….and of course update my blog!

Bonus information: Try this recipe I found on Momswhothink.com. It was delicious! And the kids loved it too!

Blue Ribbon Pork Chops
Ingredients:

2 eggs
¼ cup mustard
¼ cup brown sugar, packed
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
8 pork chops
seasoned salt

Directions:

1. In a small mixing bowl, beat together eggs and mustard.

2. In a separate small mixing bowl, dissolve brown sugar and vinegar; add to egg mixture.

3. Brush both sides pork chops with brown sugar mixture and place into a greased 13×9 baking dish. ****This confused me because you cook it in a skillet on top of the stove, you do not bake it*****

4. Sprinkle with seasoned salt; grill 10 minutes on each side or until juices run clear when pierced with a fork (baste at least once more during grilling time). Serve with baked beans. Makes 6 servings.
